Tinybird
Managed ClickHouse for building real-time analytics APIs
Tinybird is profiled here as a Coding Assistant tool for engineering teams. Read about features, pricing, and how it compares to related options in the tools directory.
Description
Tinybird is a managed real-time analytics platform, founded in 2019 by Jorge Sancha and Javier Santana, that runs on ClickHouse and turns SQL queries into production APIs. Developers stream events in, write SQL to transform and query them, and publish each query as a scalable HTTP endpoint, which removes the work of operating a ClickHouse cluster and building an API layer. Git-based workflows, branches, and local development bring software engineering practices to analytics, and Tinybird offers a free plan with no time limit.
Key Capabilities:
Managed ClickHouse that removes cluster operation and tuning
Streaming ingestion through an events API and connectors for Kafka and S3
SQL queries published directly as scalable HTTP API endpoints
Git-based workflows with branches and CI for analytics code
Local development against a containerized version of the platform
TypeScript and Python SDKs for building data products
