Short Intro: PagerDuty is a publicly traded incident management platform (NYSE: PD) founded in 2009 by three Amazon engineers who went through Y Combinator's Summer 2009 batch and built the on-call and alerting infrastructure they wished had existed at AWS. Headquartered in San Francisco with $467M in 2025 revenue and 1,242 employees, the platform covers the full incident lifecycle from detection through resolution and post-incident review.
