Qodo
AI code review platform built around code integrity
Description
Qodo, formerly CodiumAI, is an AI code review and testing platform founded in 2022 by Itamar Friedman, former director of Alibaba Group's Israeli AI Lab, and Dedy Kredo, previously at VMware. The Tel Aviv company raised $50 million and rebranded from CodiumAI to Qodo in 2024 to center its "code integrity" positioning. Qodo targets engineering teams that need automated, context-aware review across pull requests, IDEs, and CI pipelines as AI-generated code volumes grow.
Key Capabilities:
Multi-agent AI code review with multi-repository context for evaluating change impact across services
Organizational learning from PR history that improves review accuracy over time at scale
AI unit test and integration test generation tuned to existing codebase patterns
Git plugin for GitHub and GitLab pull request review with auto-description and auto-review
IDE plugin for context-aware coding assistance in VS Code and JetBrains
CLI plugin for applying the same review checks to local edits and CI pipelines
Context Engine built on proprietary Codium foundation models and flow engineering methodology
Maintenance artifact generation covering documentation and changelogs alongside code changes
AlphaCodium flow engineering architecture for iterative, test-driven AI code generation
Open-source Qodo Merge (PR-Agent) for teams that want self-hosted PR review without the commercial platform
